50 days to ASEAN Para Games: How the public can get involved
With the 50-day countdown to the 8th ASEAN Para Games starting just on Wednesday (October 14), the Games organisers have launched a slew of activities and initiatives to get the community involved.
At a launch event held on Tuesday (October 13), the Singapore ASEAN Para Games Organising Committee (SAPGOC) unveiled the “Unbreakable” music video featuring ‘Team Singapore’ athletes: Theresa Goh (swimming), Tay Wei Ming (badminton), Jovin Tan (sailing), Khairul Anwar (football), Nurulasyiqah Mohammad Taha and Toh Sze Ning (both boccia - a game similar to petanque). The athletes will appear as well in a series of 15 posters on billboards and banners in schools and ActiveSG centres.

The event also showcased cheer kits with temporary ‘Team Singapore’ tattoos and cheer cards that will be handed out to 100 schools, as part of the "Get RED-Y" movement. And the community got an opportunity to sew and decorate heart-shaped mini cushions for the Nila plush toys in the Gift-A-Nila initiative.
