Surprising and fun Disney Movie facts

 

1. The super famous  song “Part of Your World,” was almost removed from the movie The Little Mermaid. (Remember Ariel and her sea-creature friends?) The Directors of the movie decided at the last moment to put the song back in! Thank heavens!

2. Unbelievably, one of the most famous songs from any Disney movies “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” was also almost cut from movie The Lion King. Elton John, the singer, convinced producers they needed to put it back in. The rest as they say, is history!

3. Aladdin’s face was modeled after actor Tom Cruise

4. And Ariel was inspired by actress Alyssa Milano

8. The voice of Eeyore is also the voice of Transformers’ Optimus Prime. (Who would've thought? Leader of the autobots shares voice with a donkey)

11. Walt Disney was presented with an honorary Oscar for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, presented in one normal-sized statuette and seven miniature Oscars.

12. Do You Want to Build a Snowman” from Frozen is sung in part by a little girl named Katie Lopez, the daughter of the writers of the song.

13. In 101 Dalmatians Pongo has 72 spots, and Perdita has 68

14. Mortimer Mouse was the name originally meant for Mickey, but Walt Disney's wife convinced him to change it! Walt Disney is the creator of Mickey Mouse and many other characters.

15. Pride Rock and the Gorge are locations in the movie The Lion King. They are actually modeled after a real place- The Hell’s Gate National Park in Kenya.
