Apple unveils new iPhone 6S, Apple TV and iPad Pro
At a press event on Wednesday 9 September, Apple finally unveiled its new iGadgets: two new iPhones, the new Apple TV, iPad Pro and Apple Watch models.
Google also announced mobile updates earlier this year. Click here to read the article.
iPhone
iFans can choose from four colours for their new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus: silver, gold, space grey and rose gold. And you can also put your new iPhone into your back pocket without fear of bending it: the new smart phone is now made from an aircraft-grade material - 7000 series aluminum – which is stronger than the previous phone aluminum.

It’s not just a jazzy exterior though. Other than a faster processor and fingerprint sensors, the iPhone’s biggest addition is a 3D touch screen, a technology that recognizes new gestures like pressing and holding. It will even vibrate slightly to let you know it’s been pressed.
Selfie lovers can rejoice in the front-facing 5 megapixels camera, which will result in sharper images, while the rear camera can take pictures up to 12-megapixels. Plus the new phone has a flash for taking pictures in the dark and a kooky new photography feature called “Live Photos” that combines photos and videos.
iPad Pro
As expected, Apple is making a bigger, faster iPad. The new iPad Pro is almost twice as fast as its predecessor, has a bigger display – imagine how much better games and movies would look on the new iPad – is super thin and weighs about 700g!

The iPad Pro will be launched alongside an optional magnetically-connected keyboard that doubles as a cover, as well as a stylus called the Apple Pencil, which has sensors in its tip to help mimic the effect of using a real pencil on paper.
Apple TV
With the new Apple TV, the question to ask is what it cannot do. It has its own app store and a new operating system. It uses a remote control that is touch- and motion-sensitive, similar to Nintendo’s Wii controllers, so you can use it to play games and navigate the Apple TV with swipes and other gestures.

The new TV even has a microphone that allows it to be voice operated. Too lazy to swipe? Tell Siri, Apple’s virtual assistant, what you want, like, “Siri, show me the latest episode from Liv and Maddie.” If you miss something, say, “Siri, what did she say?” and the episode will rewind a few seconds and turn on captions. Don’t know what to watch? Siri can make move and TV suggestions based on things like genre.

Apple Watch
Fashionistas now have more band options. The biggest addition is a wrap-around brown leather band from French haute couture brand Hermes. The watch itself now comes in gold and rose gold, and there are new sports band options as well.
An Apple watch
With more than 10,000 watch apps since its release in April 2015, here are two new apps that may prove useful: Facebook Messenger’s app will let you send text, audio and location messages while iTranslate lets you speak a word and get a translation.
