Beware of bears on the loose in Brazil! Just kidding! These bear sculptures are on display on Leme beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. They are called "Buddy Bears" and stand 2 metres tall. Each of the 141 bear sculptures represents a country and symbolizes the idea of a peaceful world. The "Buddy Bears" will be on display until July 20, 2014. AFP PHOTO / VANDERLEI ALMEIDA

"ROOOAAARR!" Godzilla turns 60 years old this year! This is a 1-metre tall statue of Godzilla on display at a Godzilla art exhibition in Tokyo, Japan, on May 2, 2014. The new version of Godzilla will be slimmer and will star in a new 3D movie. The new movie will be released in the United States on May 16 and in Japan in July. AFP PHOTO / Yoshikazu TSUNO
These little boys play under colourful carp streamers flying at a Tokyo park as part of Japan's week-long holidays, Golden Week. May 5 is Children's Day in Japan. What beautiful sand art! These sand sculptures are part of the Sand Sculpture Festival 2014 in Fulong, northern New Taipei City in Taiwan. 30 sand artists from 17 countries created wonderful sand sculptures for the exhibition that will be held from May 3 to June 30. The real "Jurassic Park". This is a fossilised dinosaur track on Turkmenistan's Plateau of the Dinosaurs which has one of the largest collections of fossilised dinosaur tracks anywhere on Planet Earth.
