Have you ever been late for class? Well, if you are in this class then you had been NOT be late!
In China's Chengdu University of Electronic Science and Technology, students who turned up late for class are given a very traditional type of handwriting – copying by hand. There is however a modern twist as the students were as to copy emojis!
An Emoji Smiley icon
A strict professor had implemented this. Students who are late will need to submit a copy of 1000 emojis written by hand. Emojis are usually used in text messages or social media applications to show feelings etc.
A few months earlier, the same university was in the news for yet another novel way of punishment – to write a complicated 56-stroke Chinese character a 1000times. This word is pronounced as “biang”, having its origins from a popular noodle dish in some parts of China.
