QUIET, PLEASE
The city of Mumbai in India is one of the world's noisiest cities. Residents face non-stop honking everyday from vehicles on crowded roads. They are fed up and want to stop drivers from honking so much.
Too much noise pollution can be very bad for a person's health. An anti-noise pollution campaigner, Miss Sumaira Abdulali, says, "It can result in a lot of harmful side health effects including heart disease, high blood pressure, mental health and of course hearing loss. So we are suffering all this on a daily basis because the noise levels exceed 85 decibels on many traffic junctions continuously 24 hours a day."
One man has come up with a creative way to get drivers to honk less. Mr Mayur Tekchandaney was moved to find a solution after his children kept being woken up by the sound of horns. Find out in our video what his "Project Bleep" is all about.
