A school project, meant to help students understand astronomy and physics, is now searching for it first astronaut plush dog, Sam. Missing dog posters shows Sam taking a selfie against a spectacular view of Earth.
Sam was an astronaut plush dog, attached to a helium balloon with tracking equipment and documented by GoPro cameras. Sam was enlisted by the children of Morecambe Bay Primary School for a science project. His mission was to reach the edge of space. However, Sam could not be found after his mission!
According to the data from the flight, Sam rose at a speed of 6m (20ft) per second. He managed to reach an altitude of 25km (15 miles) above Earth when the balloon popped. Even though his equipment was recovered, Sam was nowhere be found.

The school, partnering with the Midland Hotel and SentIntoSpace.com, is to help children in Morecambe be more aware and understand astronomy and physics. Midland hotel ha announced on his website that whoever finds Sam, will be treated to a free stay!
