He has done this before too! Who is this player?
During a Football match, tempers can rise high. Players can get hurt in many ways. Sometimes, by slipping and falling down, sometimes by pushing and shoving- and sometimes..by getting bitten by another player! Really! This is exactly what happened during a match between Uruguay and Italy in the FIFA 2014 World Cup, Uruguay star Luis Suarez bit Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini.
AFP PHOTO / DANIEL GARCIA Now that is not good behavior. It is not only bad sportsmanship- it is simply bad behavior. And it did not go un-noticed. Luis Suarez was hit with a global four-month ban for biting an opponent. This is the heaviest fine any player has received in a World Cup match. Not only this, he was also fined 100,000 Swiss francs ($112,000). Suarez was the star of the Uruguay team- but this action of his means that Suarez will miss Uruguay's future matches in the World cup, and will not be able to play football matches even outside the World Cup.
It is the third time Liverpool star Suarez has been banned for biting players following incidents in 2010 in the Dutch league and 2013 in England. Some people are saying he should go see a doctor. This habit of biting people can only mean there is something is not exactly right. But Suarez as his fans too. His team members are saying he actually did not bite the other player- and others are saying the punishment is too harsh. What do you think about biting someone in a competition? Do you think everything is OK in a competition- where the only goal is to win? Or do you think actions like this are wrong?
